Dating back to the 14th century, Château Ducla is known to be one of the prominent estates in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation. The name originated from the Hundred Years War, when it was used by a Scottish Lord Mac Douglas for hunting; over the centuries, his name gradually changed to “Ducla”. Now, the estate is owned by the Mau family.
