Santa Ines takes pride in combining modern winemaking techniques with their great respect for nature which is expressed in the organic management of the vineyards. Its wines combine New World fruit and Old World elegance. Natural and fresh, concentrated and expressive, they are the best reflection of each grape variety in Chilean soil.

De Martino Winery was established 80 years ago by a young Italian named Pietro De Martino in the Maipo Valley. He had a keen eye for originality and so, his vineyard was first planted on a dried up branch of the Maipo River which offered unique soil characteristics for grape growing. Today, the estate is run by the third and fourth generations of the De Martino family. Although the property has significantly grown in size, the winery still preserves its tradition and pioneering spirit of the De Martino family. Certified 100% Carbon Neutral – the first winery in South America.

Pioneers of and Specialists in Carmenère

We are proud to have been the first Chilean winery to export Carmenère. In 1996 we decided to register the Carmenère grape in Chile and exported the first bottle.

Reinventing Chile

Chile has one of the best and most diverse conditions for wine producing in the world. De Martino´s challenge has been to create wines that are a true reflection of their origin and show Chile´s unique diversity. To do so, the winemaking team constantly travels from north to south and from the coast to the Andes, seeking out the most incredible places for producing wines with tremendous personality. Reinventing Chile represents De Martino´s vision, and the primary objective of this innovative focus on production is to show that Chile has the potential to produce world-class wines.
