Winemaking in the Friuli region has a long history that dates back to the Roman Empire. The Pighin Estate’s began in 1963 when three brothers, Luigi, Ercole, and Fernando Pighin, purchased a 200-hectare estate belonging to a noble Friulian family in Risano, in the Friuli Grave DOC zone. Today, Fernando continues to run the family estates with passion and enthusiasm, making signature wines of this region. Their logo, a rooster, is a symbol of land and fertility, providing a true reflection to their wine origin.
